Recently, an advertiser on social media made health-related promises without any approval from the relevant health authorities. They claimed that a product could do things it wasn’t proven to do. This isn’t just a matter of exaggeration—it’s about safety, trust, and honesty. The new Media Regulation Law says such ads are not allowed. Your health and wellbeing depend on accurate information. Why This Matters to Every UAE Citizen

• Health First (الصحة أولوية): When ads promise miracle results without evidence, people can be misled into using unsafe or ineffective products. This action ensures that your health is respected.
• Transparency & Trust (وضوح وثقة): Knowing that rules are actively enforced gives confidence—in the content you see, the products you buy, and the influencers and businesses you follow.
• Cleaner Digital Space (مساحة رقمية نظيفة): It helps make social media more honest. Misleading claims about health can spread fast. UAE is making sure they don’t.

• Only promote health claims that are approved by UAE health authorities.
• Do not exaggerate or use unverified statements.
• Make sure you have documentation / lab tests etc., or proof, especially if saying something “treats”, “cures”, or “heals”.
• Be transparent to your customers—“results may vary”, disclaimers, etc.
